NO SPRING BARGAIN FAIR this year.
We are disappointed, too, but since we were still in Phase 2 in the county, gatherings of 50 or more were not approved at the time. A Bargain Fair the first Sunday of October is still hoped for. We will keep you updated.
The ONION CREEK BARGAIN FAIR has typically been held twice a year, on the first Sunday of June, and the first Sunday of October.  It is chance to find a  treasure or sell some of your  own bargain items.  SALES SPACE IS JUST $5 FOR THE DAY, AND ADMISSION IS FREE TO BROWSERS AND SHOPPERS. You will have a great time with your friends and neighbors while exploring  everything from hand made knives and baked goods, to used tires, clothing, pots and pans, jewelry, harvest goods, tools, crafts, furniture and collectibles.  There's something for everyone.  Good food that day too! Come for the bargains, come for the food, come for the fun!

 ONION CREEK BLOOMSDAY

Onion Creek held their own Bloomsday for several years.  This year, you can join Spokane's virtual Bloomsday. Find out more at:
 www.bloomsdayrun.org/registration/

Onion Creek Bloomsday was  held on  the same day as  the Bloomsday race in Spokane.   Spokane's famous race is 12k, about 7 1/2 miles.  Onion Creek Bloomsday was  4.20 miles.  In  Spokane  they started at 9:00AM, paid a fee to race and earned a tee shirt .  In Onion Creek, started at 4:20 PM, was free and participants earned a button. Friendly neighbors provided water and rest stops and gave us bubbles, flowers, and wrist bands, too

HALLOWEEN 2011
The community HAUNTED the tunnel behind the fire station for Halloween. It's already spooky, and with the help of some amazing set builders and actors, the spooky train ride through the tunnel was   awesome and SCARY!
There was a free spaghetti dinner for the kids, games  and treats, too.
